Actions

Lincomycin binds exclusively to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosomes and suppresses protein synthesis. Depending on the sensitivity of the organism and the concentration of the antibiotic, it may be either bactericidal or bacteriostatic.

Indications It is indicated for treatment of swine respiratory diseases caused by Grampositive, mycoplasma etc.
Side Effects

Adverse reactions may cause a transient diarrhea or loose stools.

Dosage and Administration

intramuscular or Intracutaneous way
Swine, goat: 0.05ml/kg b.w. Once a day; Dog, cat: 0.05ml/kg b.w. twice a day.

Precaution

It should not be used in animals previously found to be hypersensitive to this drug. Be precautious use in cattle.

Withholding Period Do not use within 48 hours of slaughter for human consumption.
